Fifth physician joins AnMed Health Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine

— Dr. Abhijit Raval, a board-certified pulmonologist, has joined AnMed Health Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine.

Raval joins doctors Stephen Hand, Gowdhami Mohan, Charles Thompson and William Walker in the practice.

Raval is one of the only physicians in the area performing endobronchial ultrasound, a minimally invasive procedure that helps diagnose lung cancer and other lung diseases. He is a graduate of B.J. Medical College of Gujarat University in India. He completed residency training and a pulmonology fellowship at James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn.

AnMed Health Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine cares for patients with COPD, asthma, chronic cough, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. The practice also evaluates patients for a number of sleep disorders.
