Nanotechnology applications should be developed to meet healthcare needs and nano-robots made for cancer treatment, former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam said on Saturday.
Delivering the the convocation address at SASTRA University in Thanjavur, Dr Kalam also suggested that nano-drug delivery systems be developed for treatment of HIV patients.
Addressing Anna University students at Madras Institute of Technology in Chennai in the evening, Dr Kalam he said he dreamt of an India that is rid of terrorism and has reliable power supply.
“ In the last couple of years I have interacted with about 12 million younsgters and many want to do unique things for the country,” he said. He also exhorted students not to use cellphones in the classroom.
