Wichita woman killed in head-on crash near Medicine Lodge

A 23-year-old Wichita woman was killed Friday in a head-on crash about six miles north of Medicine Lodge.

Heather Lyn Marie Corbally was driving a 2004 Pontiac southbound on Isabel Road about 5:30 p.m. when the vehicle veered over the center line and struck a northbound 1976 Ford pickup by Christopher Swayden, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol accident report.

Corbally died at the scene. Swayden, 20, of Isabel, was taken to Wichita's Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in critical condition.

The report said it was unknown why Corbally's car drifted across the center line.
